Hi Everyone, I’m new to the forums – any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated… We recently changed from an older version of Microstation to Microstation Connect Edition Update 7 – Version 10.07.00.39. I am using Print Organizer to generate monochrome TIFF images of my DGN graphics. These DGN graphics contain filled shapes, these shapes reside on level 50. When I generate the TIFF image from Print Organizer the outline of the filled shapes is not included with the filled inside of the shape on the TIFF image, and I need the outline of the shapes to be included. The outline of these shapes is line weight zero and is the same color as the filled inside portion. I was told by Bentley support that I would have to make the color of the shape outline different from the filled inside color in order for Print Organizer to include the shape outline on the TIFF image. Does anyone know of another way to accomplish this without having to change these colors on my existing DGN graphics?.. We have literally tens of thousands of existing DGN graphics and changing the outline color of all the shapes on all these graphics would be a huge and expensive effort. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
have you tested it with update 13 which is the latest?
just curious why tiff and not pdf?
have you tried to make a pentable to force msnt to do what you want?
could you supply a fenced small portion dgn or example with some shapes from one of your files you can clear out any sensitive info just leave the filled out line shapes... then we can experiment with it,,, BTW it worked before right ? with which version of mstn ?
doesnt work with v8i either well not if outline is same colour as fill but does work if you use color 0 for the out line and another colour for the fill..
I creatied a pentable that would change the out line to white ( ie black) and leave the fill unchanged without rebuilding your dgn files as the pentable just resymbolises at print time so would lend itself to batch process like print organiser....
you can open the pentable form inside control p and attach pentable , edit pentable so yuo can see I told it find level 50 shapes only from colour 0 - 254 because it will cover all cases ( should have been 1-254) and in the output changed it to col 0 , I my have added weight 1 to make it easier to see
and no overrides in view attributes ...
outline.tbl
here is the result in pdf
