Hi,
I 've installed a MS 8.9.4.51 (XM) with a node locked license, on a new PC with win 10 pro,
the lic file(s) were updated
every thing works fine except the word processor:
what can be done to solve this problem.
this is installed together with Bentley Architecture ( 8.9.4.46) - who installs TriFormafirst the prerequisites were installed
but in core MS the word-processor problem is the same as in the complete BA I 've already removed everything, reinstalled the MS (only) and tested the word processor, but no result: the same problem occurred.
is something missing on the PC to make the word processor working, are the old prerequisites (win7) still sufficient for win 10 or must something else be updated.
Regards Rik

You should be aware that MicroStation V8 XM Edition is not certified for Windows 10. It was released about 14 years ago and certified for Windows XP. Nothing newer like Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 did not exist at this time. So MicroStation functionality in Windows 10 cannot be ensured.

Did you try to search Internet and BE Communities web for such problem? In a sec I received a list of similar discussion, e.g. this one looks promising.
But you should be aware nobody can ensure it will for for you combination of MicroStation and Windows version.

"seems like sometimes the pre-requisite pack doesn't install the Microsoft HTML Edit control correctly. You can either try reinstalling the pre-pack or install the HTML Edit control separately."
look at: https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/z_-archived-microstation-v8i-forum/68744/text-editor-malfunctioin
just install: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx
and every thing works fine
