I have a clipped reference drawing with pattern, it seems ok in the drawing. But when i print it out in pdf format, the clipped pattern returns.
Try detaching the reference file, reattaching and reclipping. Hopefully, you don't have a lot of clip masks, and\or complicated clip boundary.
