I have created three standard files I was using to export to pdf files. What is the proper process to use those? I had them since I was using Microstation SE and they were a marvel to work with.
you cant really recyle those drivers you have to reproduce what you had before with modifying a copy of pdf.pltcfg and custom pentables.tbl the last part is optional but does the text substitution if you not using sheet files. and resymbolisation of colours and weights etc for paper or pdf prints..

Unfortunately, the language of the PLTCFG files isn't the same as the old PLT files. You will have to recreate them from inside MicroStation

Is that done within some Microstation function/interface or is it a text based code like the old ".plt" used to be?
Yes...I believe it can be accessed from the Plot dialog.
It also appears to be XML based, If you are familiar with editing that.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific. I'm still wrapping my head around all of the changes we'll have to tackle as we upgrade.
Jason. Here's a link to a video regarding moving from your PLTs to PLTCFGs. https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/microstation_printing/w/wiki/7188/video-printer-driver-file-conversion
Please use the Printer Driver Configuration dialog to edit your plot configuration settings, not another editor.
