I have a client using an old MicroStation Basic macro to generate there different types of prints. I've been tasked with coming up with a new solution.
Instead of just developing a VBA macro as a replacement I'm looking into using native MicroStation functionality like Print Styles to streamline the process.
The biggest snag I've encountered is that they place their drawings in a common location for printing (50000,50000 for the first sheet). Additional sheets will be placed at standard offsets from this first sheet.
In some of their drawings there is no sheet border shape element or cell to search for, so that leaves me with entering the fence points manually in a print style
Is there any way in a Print Style to enter multiple fences using this fence points method?
Yes, I know this is a bad workflow, but looking at all possibilities.

If you haven't figured this out already, maybe set up multiple print styles? That's a tough workflow.

I've got the client to agree to place a print shape using a standard symbology around all of their print areas.
That makes the Print Style much easier to set up, and makes my original question moot for this task.

That's a great start. Now if you could just get them to use Sheets to print from, workflow will be so much easier....
But I guess that's what we love about Microstation, 6 ways to do anything.
