I received a file from a client that has several raster images embedded. When printing to pdf, some of the rasters show up just fine and some do not. The top row of rasters don't show up in the pdf or only bits and pieces of them do. The rasters are not xrefs and appear to have all the same properties. I've tried everything I can think of in the print menu to fix this and have not been able to. Can someone please help out?
not much to go on .. no version of mstn no pictures / screen shots.... no idea is the file dgn or DWG .. what are the properties of the raster elements?
Can you export or save them out as rasters.. can you ask providor for a copy of the rasters as raster files?
with out info ... . ( does your file have a GCS?)

I was able to save the images locally and reattach them to the dge file then they showed up in the pdf. No idea why....
I think the file may have been acad at one time... acaders like to embed the airphoto rasters as its quite difficult without addons or Civil3d acad to attach the raster by its GCR coordinates it makes it easier to send out just the dwg file too...for my cad buddies at work I do it to their dwg with mstn then trace a box around the boundary edge of the raster on a non print level then when the acaders opens it in acad he has the ref outline to reattach and scale by interactive means on screen of course if they were to download and install the free addon from autodesk it would be just like in msnt but most of my fellow acad users don't have permissions and shrink away at the thought of changing how acad is set up and ask me instead or do it in msnt themselves once I've showed them how.....
I usually use AutoCAD and am able to embed xrefs including images so that you don't need the external file to travel with the dwg file as it's a block in the dwg. Now I'm working in MicroStation and would like to do the same thing if possible. Do you know any way to embed images into a dgn file so that it is no longer an external reference and the image is not a separate file to the dgn? I don't know what msnt is. Thanks
