Missing Print Output file extension when making PDF's

Good Day, 
 
 New user to Microstation but years of drafting experience with Autodesk products. 
 Im missing the PDF File extension when making PDF's and im worried now as i can overwrite the DGN file. Can someone explain how to add this extension under the configuration variables.

You havent specified what version of microstation your using as it makes a big difference to the answers. 
 It's in your printer settings how files are named inc ext. 
 but as added insurance set your print setting / variable workspace to always print to C:	emp\pdf or do it during printing ... mainly for 2 reasons 
 1. Its way faster than network or servers (especially working from home in covid) then if they look ok you can bind and move or just move them to server. 
 2. you always know where to look and win explore is easy ie Windows key E ( make sure your windows explorer view settings is set to show extensions always for all files) 
 also in your case if things are not set right you wont end up mixing dgs with pdfs .. so for now do that also set in windows attributes to always associate pdfs with the pdf reader so it should show the little icons... also for now until its fixed if they are in pdf folder .. download Bulk Renamer Utility (BRU) .. if you cant install on work pc there is portable version that runs from usb use that to rename files make extensions in one shot kicks the heck out of win explorer.. plus good tool to have ..sometimes I have to add the rev issue for whole set as FILENAME(as DRGNO.) _ REV eg ST12345_B.pdf adding the _B to already built pdfs is a pain in the neck with windows, but the extra program BRU is super easy and super fast... like in excel set the first example and drag or double click all done...
