Print Organizer not printing Workspace Specific Fonts

I am using a custom GDOT Microstation workspace which is launched by using the executable -ws_GDOT_USER=1. From what I have read on the forums the Print Organizer is not using this workspace to print files from, it is using the default Microstation workspace that does not have the specific fonts the GDOT workspace uses. I have seen a fix involving the config variable MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS, how do I define this variable?

Thanks, Chris

  • Chris,

Depends on how you have your workspace set up.
If you have a GDOT config file with a %if , you could put it at the top of that file.
The variable would be defined like this:  MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS = -ws_GDOT_USER=1

    Hope this helps,

    Tom F.

  • Note: Print Organizer in MicroStation CONNECT does not recognize CONNECT workspaces accessed from a \\UNC path

In Print Organizer in MicroStation CONNECT, the workspace must be accessed via a mapped drive location

If you map the workspace to a drive letter, then add your variable pointing to the workspace via this mapped drive letter, i.e.:

MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS = -wrO:/bentley/workspace-ce/ms/configuration/ (where "O" is the mapped drive letter)

This was broken in MicroStation V8i (SS2), fixed in MicroStation V8i (SS3) and higher

This has been "broken" in MicroStation CONNECT since Bentley released MicroStation CONNECT

I have requested Bentley to "fix" this back in MicroStation CONNECT - Update 12... but not fixed yet!

I have not checked MicroStation CONNECT - Update 16 (released today)
