How do I get a section cut to print the outline of the section one color and the pattern in the cut another color?
I like to set my view and change the forward to per view and print per the pen table.
this is for connect and ssvi10

You did not provide any example or details how you section graphic is configured. More options how to defined the section appearance exist (hatching in element template, display rules...) and it's not clear what way do you use. To share an example is always preferred.
When you define section graphics in display rule (assigned to display style, used by Cut graphics), you can set independently hatch/pattern symbology and element symbology (tested in MicroStation CE U16).
I think when the section pattern is defined in element template, both element and patter share the same symbology.

ah! I see I created my files in V8ss10 and it doesn't appear to have the function to create a display rule. I'll try this on the next project. Iam still not set up in connect to be functional
