I used Microstation for many years when I had my own architectural practice, but haven't used it in years. However, I still have many of my old projects. I plotted DGN files to *.000 because the print shop I used plotted hard copies using that extension. I do not recall the plot driver that I used, but I suspect it is a "hpgl2" driver. Now I can't view them or use them in any way. Is there a way to convert a *.000 file to PDF or any other viewable file type so that I can access these files?
Thank you,
Steve
As fas as I remember the .000 file extension can be changed to .plt and the file will still open with software that recognizes the .plt extension. There should be some free online converters to convert to another format. It's been a long time since I've worked with .000 file extension for plot files.

Oh I remember those days and we used to send them direct to plotter in dos with the copy command .. as mentioned there are hpgl plot file converters and some viewers that will let you reprint to pdf... I used to have a licensed one that was pretty cheap and it let me view and convert/ print to pdf..
Quick google search found this
To see the image that would be created on the plotter, you can open HPGL files for free with XnView or HPGL Viewer. You can also read HPGL files with Corel's PaintShop Pro, ABViewer, CADintosh, or ArtSoft Mach.

once you open via either then you can print to pdf via windows pdf printer or one of the free ones like Primo pdf or Nitro pdf
