Hi,
I was trying to print a plan. It stays at the printing status forever. I noticed that there was a small window (I pulled the window above the 'print status' and made a screenshot below). I think it is this window that causes the issue. I tried to enlarge this small window but in vain. Any ideas what happened? Thanks so much.
Do you have the Rasterized checkbox toggled on in the Print dialog?
When that is toggled on, it takes much longer to generate and submit your print.
You do not need that turned on just because you have a raster image attached.

Thanks Rod. I have the 'rasterized' option unchecked.
The raster image is the issue. Without it, it prints well and fast. After I turn it on, it does not print at all. I left the printing process open for hours yesterday and nothing happened. It seems that Microstation jumped out a small blank window (as shown in my original post). It could be some error message but I cannot enlarge and see it.
Are you printing using a Bentley driver (.plt, .pltcfg file), or using a Windows driver?
Are you printing to a file, or direct to a printer?
I use pdf_color.pltcfg and print to a pdf file.
In that case I would try reducing the Raster Quality Factor in the pltcfg file.
The other question is what format is your Raster image? Maybe try saving it to a different format.
What Rod says. I have settings I like for raster printing, but the rasters themselves sometimes have quit different parameters (dpi, image format, etc.) occasionally I needs customize the pltcfg.
