Because NEs (Named Expressions) are nearly the same in V8i a CE, you can MicroStation CE documentation (often bettter written than V8i).

To use NE in printing is great thing and can be used both for individual printing and in Print Organizer, but a threat is it requires to merge more technologies together (at least NE + print driver configuration + MicroStation configuration).

• Read MicroStation CE documentation I linked above ... but it is boring.
• To open Named Expressions dialog, to create symbols documentation (Utilities > Report Symbols) and to try to understand existing expressiong, delivered with MIcroStation. Some are complex, where function is not alwyas clear, but many are simple.
