Printing - Back Button in final pdf

So, I have created a set of document with about a hundred or so pages that has cross references across the pages. Using sheet index and print organizer, the I can directly create links within each file and point it to another file within the drawing set.

While this functionality is great, with it comes the need to have a back button as well. That function is inherent to acrobat but it is not shown by default, so that's why I wanted to actually add a button that does exactly that if possible for all pages.

Reviewing other forums for PDF and acrobat, it appears that you can add buttons that will have a "previous view" function in PDF. How, if possible, should I set up a link in Microstation that will allow me to execute a navigate to previous view action? An explanation of how to do it in Acrobat itself can be found here: PDF Help—add ’BACK’ button | Adobe Acrobat (acrobatusers.com)

  • If that is an Acrobat function, then you may have to use Acrobat to do that. I do not believe there is anything in MicroStation that will be able to relate to view actions taken in a PDF and no way, as far as I can tell, to write Acrobat functions from within MicroStation.
