Unable to access printer?

We have had a new server over the weekend, and now found that nearly all my bespoke .pltcfg files are not accessible by MicroStation.

Can someone confirm how I get onto the .pltcfg file within MicroStation so that I can change the bits I need to.

I have to0 say the old .plt text files were a lot easier to work with.

Any help apprecieted.

  • These last 3 posts only works for when the windows printer  can t be found... the bespoke pltcfgs are usually  modified pdf printers but this thread was started  over 10 years ago  and it was referring to windows printers ie Xerox etc....

IMHO I prefer not to print direct to the printer but pdfs and then print pdfs to printer/ paper  if need to really have hard copies  .. because its the closest your going to get to what  your client gets.. nobody I know of sends paper prints to clients any more just pdfs via the net.. perhaps once in a while big project they want  books of hardcopies  but again I print to pdfs, bind pdfs to single pdf and send that once to printer through pdf which should already  find window printer easier than mstn can if printers change names.. roll plots might be the only  difference for some users but again a pdf or the roll plot can be reused, reprinted to paper and used in screen presentations in meetings  so why not make a pdf first anyway... ?
