Would like to know if it is possible to print point clouds to 3d pdf. Have been trying and seeing errant results.
Thank you,
Joshua Prets
PS would also request that point clouds be added as a tag.
What MicroStation version (i.e. v##.##.##.##) are you using?

Anyone can add a tag. If one exists, you will see that display as you enter it in the tag field. If it does not, it will be added (as it was to your post here).
PS - your inquiry was initially posted as a wiki article... it has been "moved" to be a forum post. More information regarding the differences between community applications can be found in the Okay, now what? blog article.
Phil,
Thank you for responding and the blog critique - never posted before and had a lot of fun trying to figure it out yesterday.
I'm using Microstation SS2 V08.11.07/443.
I'm loading a pod file created from leica scan data that has about 60 million points.
So far all my attempts to create a 3d pdf have failed.
The print never finishes, or it finishes very quickly.
The pdf file that is created does have 3d content that in no way resembles the point cloud.
Thanks again,
Josh
Is the 3D PDF of a Point Cloud possible?
Hi,
This question has been answered here a couple of months ago.
Thanks,
