I have a problem with MicroStation V8i being extremely slow when we change “PrintStyles”. I have narrowed it down to not being the actual “PrintStyle” in the dgnlib file , but the .pltcfg file that the “PrintStyle” calls. As I said, I have disabled MicroStation from looking at the dgnlib with the “PrintStyles” and simply manually selecedt the .pltcfg file.
· Slow with all .pltcfg files, except the PDF .pltcfg’s that don’t actually call a network printer.
· When I say slow, it takes 3-5 minutes before the print dialog is ready to print.
· This is only with V8i SS2 version # 08.11.07.443
When testing in V8 XM version # 08.09.04.88 it takes only seconds before the dialog is ready to print.
I have attached a sample .pltcfg file. (at least I think I did)
I don't know if it is how we have the printers set-up on the Network or not, but it is strange the difference between XM and V8i.
