&lt;p&gt;In your print driver configuration settings open the advanced tab and expand Driver Resolution. For drawings which are just line work and text I have found that setting the x and y values to 150 is good enough. Dropping to this value will significantly reduce the PDF file size.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If your sheets contain raster you could try to decrease the quality factor of those raster (see Create Print Definitions dialog-&amp;gt;Manually Specified Options-&amp;gt;Avanced tab-&amp;gt;Raster Quality panel). &lt;/p&gt;
