Print Style - Sheets v View/Fence

Hi

I want to create a Print style that will allow a user to open a DGN file and if it finds a Sheet model s this as its print area, at the same time if an older DGN file is open i.e. no sheet model it uses predefined shape, level etc. as the print area.

All seems OK and I can get it working but I have two seperate styles one for Sheet and another for View.  Is it not possible to have one style that suits all variations.

Thanks

Ian :)

  • I know this is an older post, but I am trying to figure out the same issue.  On some of our projects there can be both Sheet Models and a border that includes a shape referenced into a Design Model.  I would like to create one Print Style to accommodate either situation.

I have a Print Style Fence option set to find the shape.  I have tried adding the option "Prefer Sheets" to the Print Style Fence setting but no luck.

Is it possible to have one Print Style locate either a Sheet or a shape?

    Thanks.
