I cannot print custom linestyles via print organizer from a custom interface - custom linestyles print as solid lines. We have both SS2 and SS3u1 installed under both XP and Windows 7. MicroStation is started with comand line switches for workspace and user: -wsXXX and -wuXXX.
This issue seems to be the same as or related to the issue discussed in this thread started in 2009 and remaining unresolved as of January, 2012:
http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/microstation_v8i/f/19568/p/19658/63562.aspx#63562
Any help or insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Bill
OK, I set the variable and print organizer times out with the message:
The process 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\ustation.exe' failed to indicate readiness within the allotted time of 120 seconds
I suspect this may be because we have all of our standards on a server, and it's either due to our security or a rights issue. My programer/network guy is on vacation until after the first. I'll have him look into the issue, and if he can't figure it out, we'll log a service ticket.
Thanks for all of your help.
Yes. You can define MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS from the Configuration: User dialog. Scroll down to Engine Command-Line Arguments and set the value.
Would/could that variable be defined in the .ucf file?
Hello Bill,
I checked the TR and CR mentioned in the thread you referenced and they are both closed. There was a note in TR 262657 that might help you.
NOTE: If the primary ustation.exe command line has other customizations, for example "-wsCUSTOM -wrc:/Temp", then those arguments must be mirrored in MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS in order for Print Organizer's worker process to be launched correctly. That is, "MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS = -wsCUSTOM -wrC:/Temp"
I hope this helps! If not, please log a service ticket with support.
Regards,
Jo Terri
