We have around 12 Windows XP systems running various versions of microstation that all share custum bentley print drivers located on the server in one location. We havent had any problems with the drivers. We recieved our first Windows 7 computer and installed mircrostion V8 and Powerdraft and cant print using the same drivers?? All windows based print drivers are currently installed on the windows 7 machine and will print on both platforms using the windows driver plot mode, but as soon as you choose the bentley drivers, it give the following error "Error opening print file \\server-name\printer-name".
the .plt driver file reads as follows:
default_outFile/auto_overwrite = \\server-name\printer-name"
What needs to be done to the Windows 7 machine to make it print? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
Try the following methods to isolate and solve the problem:Verify basic network connectivity. On the Advanced tab, make sure the printer availability time is correct.Create a local printer, and redirect the port to the network server.Check the available disk space on the print server.
