I need to change my reference file sequencing to plot a specific file last so it will show on top of everything else. How can I plot a sheet ignoring the Z value? The priority button is for 2D only and the "update sequence" that is pulled from the reference file toolbox will allow me to move the ref file in question to the end of the list. However, there are elements in a few of the other reference files that are at a higher elevation than ones in the reference file I am wanting to show as on top. How can I fix this? pentable? I am using V8i SS2.
Clear as mud??
There is a priority setting in reference file dialog box. It may be hidden, right click on the list bar and toggle priority on. Then set accordingly 1 will "raise" the file by 1,000,000 master units. It show x1000000 but I believe it adds or subtracts, not multiplies.
Sorry DavidG, there is no such priority option in SS2. I right clicked and although there is a list of 26 items, priority is not one of them.
I have had some success by applying transparncy to the file that I want to appear on the bottom of my plots
Another thing I have done, although a bit of a pain, is to move the elements in the file that I want on top to an elevation higher than the elevation of the other file. The obvious draw back to that will be if the elements need to retain real world vertical data.
Thanks pgilkey, I ended up using civil tools to change the elevation of the items I wanted on top. Retaining the original elevations was not an issue since it was bogus to begin with.
