Using SS3, I am having trouble getting line weights to appear in the 3d pdf. Also nothing shows up under the layers in the pdf either. Turn off print to 3D and both work fine. Any ideas?
Ray
Ray,
1. Weights are not supported in 3d PDF
2. Layers are OK
2.1 Layer names are not sorted properly
3. Cells/SharedCells are not supported in Model tree (that is critical -see file attached). Only Refs are supported.
4. Saved Views are not supported with regard the Level on/off state (that IS critical).
5. Numerous animator "features" are not supported
6. WYSIWYG is not supported by any means - lights et all (the toy stigma).
Use Model tree on this WIP 3d PDF
PS: I think that Phil could move this thread to the "MS printing" Forum

Thanks, I see I needed the model tree open in adobe not the layer tree to see my levels. Regarding the weights, is that a Bentley issue or an adobe issue? I am printing point (lidar) data and am experimenting with ways to get the points to print to 3D pdf. Interestingly if you turn on shaded vertices as a render mode in adobe you get all the vertices as a fat weight point, so it seems that adobe is capable of displaying different weights for points.

AFAIK it's a 3D PDF format issue.
BTW: the whole 3D PDF idea is abandoned by Adobe some time ago. Such a pity since that was a VERY promising technology for a variety of reasons.
