One of my colleagues has a very perculiar printing problem.
If you take a look at the attached pdf, when he opens this specific .dgn file and clicks print, the text shows with this strange character instead of the correct one (3). If he then leaves his print dialogue box open and prints again, it prints correctly as per page 2 of the PDF. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening??
Can you reproduce same behavior on your machine? If yes, I think we would like to check this DGN file on our side.
What version of MicroStation?
Is it same "-" symbol used in upper text line?
I can't reproduce this behaviour on my machine. The version of Microstation is XM. There is no "-" symbol displayed on the CAD file, only when it is printed.
Could you post a copy of the file? You can be better served if we can look at the files to determine the problem.
Microstation CONNECT 10.17.00.209
ORD CONNECT 2021 R1 10.10.1.3
Microstation v8i SS 10 08.11.09.919
Power InRoads v8i 08.11.09.615
Can't post the file as its sensitive. Seems erratic as to when this weird character appears. If i delete other pieces of text of the drawing then it seems to print fine.
Can you make a copy of the file and remove the sensitive data and post that file? We don't need to see everything. Otherwise it is hard to diagnose the problem.
