Hello,
I've been having trouble with Print Organizer when I try to search for a printer driver configuration file under the "Printer" tab under "Define Print Styles." The printer driver configuration file that I want to use is located in ProjectWise, but whenever I try to browse for it, it will take me to my local drive and won't allow me to browse through ProjectWise. All of our files are located in ProjectWise and everything else integrates fine with ProjectWise, but for some reason this part of Print Organizer doesn't seem to be. I've spent countless hours trying to find a solution with no luck, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
SS3 MicroStation has this capability, SS2 and earlier versions do not. Which version of MicroStation are you using?
Thanks for the quick reply. We are using MicroStation SS2. So there's no way to get print organizer to locate the printer driver file in ProjectWise unless we upgrade to MicroStation SS3? I was under the impression it might have been a workspace configuration issue but is that not the case?
Change Request 301184 was “fixed” in SS3. I’m not aware of a solution other than upgrading to SS3. The SS2 workaround is to select the .pltcfg from a local or network folder.
CR 301184
User wants Print Organizer to be fully integrated/compliant with ProjectWise. Especially print style > creation > select plot driver. Select pen table works - it calls up a ProjectWise window but select plot driver does not. User wants it to work as the print dialogue does, both select plot driver and attach pen table call up a ProjectWise window.
