We are a multidiscipline firm with several 11x17 laser printers with at least one for each department/discipline. We have at least one PLTCFG for each printer/plotter. We like to set a default printer/PLTCFG based on the department/location for small check prints with the File > Print command. We have one DGNLIB for the entire company that defines several print styles for use with Print Organizer to plot a set of drawings.
It appears that MS_DEFAULT_PLTCFG_FILE is ignored when a DGNLIB with print styles for print organizer is loaded (attached via MS_DGNLIBLIST). Instead normal printing uses the default PLTCFG defined in the DGNLIB.
We’d like to use a default PLTCFG for individual printing and a different one for print organizer, but it doesn’t appear work anymore. It used to work in an earlier release of MicroStation V8i, but I’m not sure when it changed.
MS_DEFAULT_PLTCFG_FILE = laser printer PLTCFG file
Print Style DGNLIB (default PLTCFG) = PDF PLTCFG file.
This has been tested in our workspace and out of the box and both scenarios produce the same result.
Does anyone know a resolution?
Do you have one of the print styles set in the dgnlib defined as a "Default Print Style"? If so, try removing the default setting. Does this give you the desired results?

Wow, don't I feel stupid. This worked. Thank you. I'm not sure why we set that, but I'll blame it on my co-worker. :) Sorry for the late reply, but I was waiting for the email update for a reply and didn't get one for some reason. Thanks again.
