POWER GEOPAK-I-PLOT AND PEN TABLES

Hello,

I am using Power Geopak V8i SS2.

I am having to configure a pen table to give me the plotted "look" of a file plotted with I-Plot.  Attached is a section of the I-Plot "pen table".  Is there a way to make conditional decisions like shown in the I-Plot pen table, in a standard pen table pen map?

  • Sorry for the confusion, I was just trying to say that you would have to create several Sections in a MicroStation pen table to accomplish your goal.  The first Section might check for color and level on the Criteria tab, then specify what you want to do on the Output Action tab. The next Section would check for something else and the Output Action tab would be used to specify a certain action and so on.  Yes, MicroStation Help is very good reference for creating and modifying MicroStation pen tables.

  • Marion,

I see how the pen table works now, you are correct, the help menu is good for this.  However, on further inspection of an existing NCDOT *.tbl file, they have conditional statements in it when opened with notepad.  However, when I open same file with the pen table editor, I do not see anything.  The file I am reviewing has a "tbl" extension but do not think it is a pen table file.  What am I likely observing with this file that appears to have a pen table extension but does not act like a pen table using the editor?
