I need to duplex a booklet of drawing files.. I have created a printer setup organizer file. Using the printer config file:"printer.pltcfg" configured the printer under options to use the duplexing feature on the HP5550dn printer. I am in microstation v8i and using vista... My booklet will not duplex.. printer prints one side pulls the paper back into the printer and does not print on the back-side but will print the second page on another sheet.. will the duplex feature work?User says this works using WORD. The duplex is set via the printer properties…Just wondering what you think of this and how we might be able to handle it. This will be a savings to print on both sides... they need to print 6 booklets with 64 pages each.
No, we do not expect that to work. Print Organizer, like Batch Print, prints one sheet at a time when printing to a Windows printer driver. For each sheet, we perform a GDI StartDoc and EndDoc. To print multi-page documents to a Windows printer, we suggest printing to PDF and then reprinting from Acrobat, or using InterPlot Organizer.
