Red dot appears under traffic cars

Ok, I finally am getting everything to work out for this animation I have to get done, until.... I get a RED dot appearing under some of my vehicles in the traffic animation. How do you turn off the dot without turning off the cars? You can't change the traffic lane to a construction element, or else the cars disappear too. Ignore open elements and text is turned on, so what is the magical trick to turn off the dots???

Hi Kevin,

The red dot is a weighted point at the cell origin, if you have ignore open elements and text and are rendering with Luxology that point cannot render. If you see it in smooth shaded view I would suggest turning off weight in the view attributes. I don't know how turning off the construction would turn off the cars unless they were placed as construction to start.

Hi Jerry,
I would like to be able to render this file with Luxology, but it crashes Microstation on my current machine (even with our best machine, which has an I7 w/16gb of ram, this file causes it to restart Windows (8.1) while calculating illumination), so I'm stuck with smooth rendering. I minimized the effect of the dot by editing the car cells in the library so the dot is medium grey and 80% transparent (is this something that could be done in the cell library that is delivered with Microstation??).

Hi Kevin,
If you have the "Ignore Open Element" = ON in the "Untitled" render setup , It's effect is seen in the shaded display.
So this setting from Render setup dialog , also effects the smooth rendering ( only for "Untitled" render setup )
