Hi,
I work in railway design.
In my Microstation file I have the following attached as references...
-two linear features depicting a track in 3D.
- 3D models of Cubicles, buildings etc alongside the track
- I have a 2.5m DTM
My question is...
I would like to create a simple animation from a train driver's perspective following the track.
I have played around with cameras and positioned both a single camera & target at a set height using two lines as reference points, and then used the navigate tool to move backwards and forwards. This is okay, but I would like to set it up so the cameras following the linear route of the track, and I would like to record it as animation / 3D pdf.
I have looked at the help files and I am struggling.
Any advice / tutorials?
Thanks
Matt
If you define a line/curve for the paths for your camera and target to follow above the linear route of the track at the required height, the tool 'Define Actor Path' can be used to attach the Camera & Target actors. See Also communities.bentley.com/.../19173.animate-camera-to-follow-path An example of a camera being scripted along a path can be found in the ...\workspace\Projects\Example\General\dgn\animation.dgn camera targets model. For print to PDF from print dialog select the Bentley Driver PDF.PLTCFG plot configuration file and select the Print to 3D option in the print dialog. ( In the Settings > 3D Plotting you will find the PDF/Animation settings ) then print to pdf. ( Don't forget to turn the camera on in view attributes for the view being plotted )
