Do I have to convert it first? I have a bunch of .jpg and a .mtl file in the same directory as the .obj file.
Not sure I can help you with the JPGs rendering, but if you can send me a dataset I have a quick check.
Thanks,
I got the file to open. There are .jpgs that in the same folder that I can see are draped over the building, but they are real blocky. Not very familiar with the rendering and materials and getting them to show up correctly. The .mtl file is in the same folder with the .obj file and the jpgs. Any help to get it to look better would appreciated.

RE: How do you import a .obj file into MicroStation.

Hi,

In SELECTSeries 3 (and probably SELECTSeries 2 also) you can directly open .OBJ file in MicroStation (see File menu->Open and OBJ as the file type).

After that you can concert the .obj back to a .dgn file.

HTH,
