LumenRT Problems

If I understand your problem correctly, you want to be able to update the model export from Microstation into Lumen without losing the Lumen content? I believe this is possible, I have done it before (not without some issues) but I do find the exporting of large models is quite problematic. In theory, if you re-export the model from Microstation it should update the model object in your existing Lumen live cube, providing the file names match and the location of the Lumen file remains in the default location. If you move the file to another location it doesn't work.
As for the content not exporting, I have experienced this with Lumen Cells which I placed in Microstation not exporting or not exporting correctly (I have had trees come into Lumen displaced by 90 degrees). Generally I place the additional content in Lumen rather than in the dgn file.

In my limited experience with LumenRT I have found that it works best to create a Saved View in Microstation and always export to LumenRT from that view. For the most part that has seemed to keep most of the items I had placed outside of Microstation in place.

In last SIG Jerry showed us how will be possible to import own or any object via visualization export file VUE to LumenRT, problem is this possibility will be not sooner as / I hope as was somewhere and someone said/ in next update 2_end of 2Q/2016
so we have to wait , because direct export of cells makes many mistakes

Thanks, I didn't realize it was possible to export the same data set without losing the content placed in LumenRT. That was the reason I placed the content within MicroStation.
