Hello,
I rendered this interior both in MS V8i and MS Connect (most recent versions).
As you can notice the interior rendered with MS Connect is showing the feared splotches and speckles.
I know how to avoid them in MS V8i.
How do I avoid them in Connect?
Thanks,
Wim

Thanks Jerry,
That did it!
Here two results:
- Direct Light Samples: 0
- Direct Light Samples: 64 (20% render time increase)
Both with Direct Light MIS to None.
I must ad that some mesh mappings are different from V8i (cushing's)
Greatings,
Hi wysiwig and Jerry,
I have to say , these parts still look weird
regards
Karol
You're right, Karol!
I made another interior and the splotches are stronger visible. despite the settings of Direct Light MIS to None.
I will upload a package named "Splotches".
Hello Jerry,
Here the result of MIS: both and samples: 512.
The corners are better, but splotches bigger.
Thanks for your reply.
I'm aware of this setting to avoid splotches.
But another result of turning off "visible to indirect" is: The milky translucency of white plastic is gone! No light is coming threw.
Strange thing: I'm not having splotches in V8i with "Visible the indirect": ON
