Hello, has anyone experienced a material rendering differently on a normal projected solid compared to a solid that was projected along a B-spline? I projected the same complex shape profile, once as a simple orthogonal solid, and again along a B-spline path, only to get two different results when rendered with luxology. The material is Galvanized steel, with no modifications, just as delivered in a standard install.
This is the first solid (simple projection) where the material displays correctly:
And this is the second solid (same profile projected along a B-spline path) where the material gets smudged on part, but not all, of the solid.
Is there a way to fix this? I've tried several different methods of projection (including as a surface & then thickening) but they all give me a variation of the same incorrect result. I need both solids to display the same, as they will used in the same animation.
Thanks for the help,
Kevin

We all miss this... communities.bentley.com/.../342220 You can workaround the problem, like the method used to create the solid. Vincent is speaking about a surface and not a solid. Maybe you can try using a surface instead of a solid?
There are other ways using tips from Louis for Blender:

Hello Kevin,
using mapping type = "Parametric" instead of planer will resolve issue.
