What that variable does is when restart Microstation it will open a text window with your PC specs.

I appreciate your quick feedback. Another question, if you don't mind. Although the variable is set equal to 1, no text box appears after Microstation starts. Is there a way that I can troubleshoot or debug this and find why it won't appear?

For that you should use the variable in Windows Environment and not inside Microstation.
