I have been asked to look into using Lumen RT, I have downloaded the trial version and I have imported a FBX model.
Is it possible to adjust the mapping of a material on the face of an object and not the whole object?
I have a wall, one face looks correct but on another the brickwork mapping is rotated 90 degrees. If I adjust the material, it changes the mapping on the whole object, so one wall face will always be wrong.
The best way would be to fix the mapping on the FBX model. Is the texture correct when you open the FBX in another application? If it is then we need a copy of the FBX model to determine why the texture is different in LumenRT.
Cheers,
Jerry
It was a straight export out of Aecosim into .fbx to use in Lumen RT (standalone)
I was hoping i'd be able to map materials within Lumen RT but I guess i'll have to UV Map in 3DS Max before hand.
If you use the CONNECT Edition you can key in VOB in ribbon search and export the model as a VUE Object then you can drag the vob using File Explorer on to the open LumenRT window. Make sure that you are using Planar mapping mode on the material before exporting and that should fix the material in LumenRT. BTW you can also use OBJ for this rather than FBX.
