If you attended the August Visualization SIG I showed how to create your own 3D Line Styles. The recording of this session has been posted to the LEARN Server http://learn.bentley.com/app/Public/ViewLearningPathDetails?lpId=111389 the documentation and example exercise can be found here ftp.bentley.com/visualization/3DLineStyles.zip
Enjoy!

Hi Jerry,
thank you for really very smart tool, editable 3D linestyle library .dgnlib or .rsc would be fantastic thing

Hi Karol,
This workflow gives us great possibilites. We all praying to see the day that Linestyle menu gets update.
And I'm really hoping to see U7 sooner to get a taste of the new raster linestyle. This is a real improvment.

José
This looks nice, id love to try it out. Do we have any avalible 3D linestyles inside microstation connect ( or anywhere else ) , just to be able to try them out? It seems a bit complicated to create them, but i guess it helps having done it a few times.

Hi Jerry
I've managed to create a few 3D linestyles following the workflow created for the 3D guardrail linestyles, but I'm running into an issue with my latest experiment for parapets and end blocks. When placed, the 3D line style seems to forget that its point component cells are 3D solids. All solids are Smart Solids, not parametric. In the image below, the components used to create the point cells are shown on the left and the final line style tested is shown on the right.
At first I thought that allow the elements to be partial was the issue, so I disabled all partial elements, but that doesn't fix the issue.
Any ideas?
Warren
Hi
I am not following you entirely as to what the problem is. Are you expecting the line style to create a clipped version of your 3d geometry if there isnt a complete repetition.
