I have a short animation setup between two points. The first frame renders correctly as shown in the still view rendering (top right, attached). This shows the raster reference image in the background.
However, when I record that first frame using the Record Script dialog, the background image is not rendered (bottom left, attached). All Setup setting are identical for both still and animation renderings.
How do I get the background raster to render in the animation?
Thanks,
Max

problem is identical in Connect 10.06.00.38
Hi Max,
If you are moving the camera in the animation having a static background is going to look wrong but if you really want that then in the Environment Settings dialog change the type to Image and Projection to Front then choose this image and turn visible to camera on and that should work.
Cheers,
Jerry
Thanks Jerry - but the image is not an "environment background" - it's an attached Raster Attachment (originally placed there using Photomatch). It moves slightly while moving the camera forward in Animator Preview.
Any further ideas?
Yes just remove or turn off the raster and use the same image as your environment image front projected.
This will work I have done it many times here is video I made ages ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1CIL5jk1pM&t=112s
You could also try rendering to a format that supports transparency such as PNG (Portable Network Graphics) and set Mode: RGB Alpha, .
In your Environment Settings, under Background check Enable and select Blank from the drop-list. This will allow the background to render transparent.
Turn off display of the raster attachment before rendering.
You can then composite the rendered animation over the still image in your video editing software.

Jerry, Ron - apologies for my late response, both solutions work.
