Invisible material in LumenRT

Hi,

I have terrain in LumenRt created from scalable tarrain model. There is existing railway. I wand trains to go along tracks. Hoever after publishing to Live Cube trains are jumbing. I guess it is due to terrain irregurality. I created dummy smooth surface just above terrain/ Then trains go as desired. However I would like to make this dummy surface to be invisible to users but "visible" to trains. If I turn off layer with this dummy surface, trains start to jump again. Must say jumping trains is sth wired.

Is it possible? Thanks for your tips.

  • Hi Adam,
If you create the train using the traffic tools in MicroStation they will follow your dummy surface and not be effected by the terrain irregularities.

I demonstrated how to create a train using the MicroStation traffic tools during the Nov. 2016 Visualization SIG.

Here's a link to the SIG videos.

    Regards,
    Ron
