Hi,
I have terrain in LumenRt created from scalable tarrain model. There is existing railway. I wand trains to go along tracks. Hoever after publishing to Live Cube trains are jumbing. I guess it is due to terrain irregurality. I created dummy smooth surface just above terrain/ Then trains go as desired. However I would like to make this dummy surface to be invisible to users but "visible" to trains. If I turn off layer with this dummy surface, trains start to jump again. Must say jumping trains is sth wired.
Is it possible? Thanks for your tips.
Hi Adam
sorry for the delay.
Try to apply to the surface you need to be "invisible" the Material: Blurry Glass 020 Bl2 and as Type: Glass

Mara
Thanks. I tried that in my first try. However it reflects the light and is still visible. I will try to play with material settings.
Best,
Adam

Hi Adam,
Make sure you turn off reflections and make 100% transparent. You could have just double clicked on the material and made the edit by choosing glass rather than standard.
Cheers,
Jerry
Jerry,
When I pick Blury Glass and set it as Glass type material, with 100% transparency and 0% reflections it is still givving the shine effect. When I change type to standard this blury glass becomes a solid color and there is no transparency setting available. I workarounded that by assigning a picture as a material. This picture is a png file with no content at all and transparent background. Works fine and was really easy to accomplish, I didn;t think about that at first - I am nto really experienced with viz workflows.
Thanks!
another option (which i am using to create a transparent oil slick in the middle of the road) is to set the reflections to -10000% ... the fader only goes to 0%, but you can type a lower number.
