So my scenario is that I have a scene created with cars, trees & people in it. When I update something in Microstation and export to LumenRT to update the scene, some the cars I previously had in the scene are either scaled up or down, when the new scene has been loaded. Can someone please enlighten me on what the problem could be or if I'm doing something wrong? Thanks
Yeah. I also recently started having vehicle scaling issues a week ago. I have LumenRT's latest version as well. Not sure if it's because the e-on software site has been down for quite sometime, but it difficult having to redo traffic simulation every time there's an update with design file. No issues with animated people and trees. I did notice when selecting paths on original .lrt you are able to select traffic paths, once design file is updated and exported again, each vehicle has it's own path (not sure how that happened).
Before After
Hi Bob,
Try clearing deleting the content cache probably here C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Bentley LumenRT CONNECT Edition - Update 1\LumenRT Content\Cache and then reload the lrt file to see if that fixes it.
Cheers,
Jerry
Actually, I think the first time it happened overnight. Everything was looking ok along with a video. Exported a livecube. Deleted some images from my computer, because they were in the video clip already. The following morning, the scaling was happening. Tried a few things and decided to redo the traffic. Everything was fine for a few days and that's when I was updating design file. When re-exporting, the scaling was off again.
Very odd. Can you package up a zip file containing the source ss4 file and the LumenRT .lrt livecube and I will have a look at it. Can you send me an email with the link. You can reach me at:

Sure, but it's taking a while to upload. I'll send you both lumen files. The copy is a good version but doesn't have the updated buildings referenced.
I'm noticing a similar problem in MicroStation Connect Update 7 and LumenRT Update 4.
I am placing LRT people content using the MicroStation Place Single Lane Traffic tool to populate my sidewalks. I remove all the people that are initially placed when the lane is created and then manually position people with the Add Vehicle to Lane tool. When I export to LumenRT Update 4 the people only move in straight lines for a short distance. To fix this so the people follow the lane I defined in MicroStation I have to select each person and pick animation settings and delete the animation.
This works great for adding walking, running, and cycling people to sidewalks!
Since I have to do this to each person placed with the traffic tool, I end up looking closely at each one. What I noticed was a number of the people had tiny automobiles near their feet. The sizes varied from matchbox size to shoe box size. It is weird that tiny cars are showing up even though the lanes were defined using the LumenRT people content.
Regards,Ron
This is still a problem (seven updates later).
Multi-lane traffic created in LumenRT, but cars change size after the next Microstation>LRT export.
Jerry's work-around doesn't work because the multi-lane traffic is now split into single lanes. Selecting a lane/ car doesn't allow any replacement of cars.
LumenRT: 16.10.02.62
Microstation: have tried both V8i 08.11.09.829 and Connect 10.10.00.23
This is failing consistently - I have to delete and recreate all my multi-lane traffic for each new Microstation>LRT export.
Anyone from Bentley care to weigh in on this? Dave - was there any feedback after Bob's packaged files?
Max
Hi Max,
We are unable to reproduce this what changes were made in MicroStation before you re-exported?
Might need your data set and steps to figure this one out. I saw this ages ago and the fix was made in LumenRT it was not an export issue.
Although I know this was an issue like a year ago and it was fixed but bugs like these can show up as regression, so it would be helpful to have a test case where it is happening.
Thanks for looking into this, Jerry.
Unfortunately, I have a confidentiality agreement with my clients on both the projects that have had this problem. I'll try to recreate it with some dummy geometry in the same Microstation files when I get a chance.
All I can say is that I do a LOT of back and forth between Microstation and LRT - but only place LRT content within the LRT live cube. I do a fair bit of switching between v8i and CE (still much faster modeling in v8i, but finding CE exports to LRT to be more stable).
Jerry, I have this same problem and the only change that I just made was raising the elevation of a few elements in a reference before re-importing to LRT.
