Using connect U7 at the moment but same behaviour in other versions. When I apply a display style with colour overrides to create a white model, transparent elements display in the view, but do not render with transparency??
The Transparency used when rendering an element is the one defined by it individual element properties and the level transparency.
Select the element and edit its properties to have some value of transparency when rendered that value will be used.
Sorry I probably didn't explain well enough. Defining transparency is not an issue, the issue is to do with the render not reflecting the view.
The element has transparency defined by level properties. They displays transparent. I have then applied a display style to my model to turn all elements white for a quick card model render. In the display style settings I have set the transparency threshold, and this allows the transparent elements to display correctly. however. the render does not show the transparency.
Hello Duncan,
I could reproduce the problem & crated a defect to track it. Seems the Level Transparency is not applied
Defect 804781:If we have Color Override in the Display Style , the transparency set from Levels is not used for Luxology Rendering
Thanks
Hi Duncan,
can you please share the model or the sample you have show in the images. can we also have a copy of the display style and render settings you have set

Thanks Brendan,
link to download file - https://we.tl/wJm0Qn7Mm9
The display style Black & White Hidden line is contained within the file.
render settings are Active lighting, Physical Sky and Exterior Best.
There is also a drawing rule that I created called untitled which applies transparency to my window glazing level. when this is applied it allows the transparency to render. ??
