Hi there,
I'm facing problems producing a building interior animation. Some of the features are constantly appearing and disappearing, such as windows and doors.
Could you please give me some tips to solve this??
Thank you all!
Kind regards.
Jorge Marques

Are you talking in the view displays or in render output?
What is your Windows version?
Size of the file and the amount of RAM?
José
Hi José.
Thanks for helping.
I´m working with windows 7 - 64 Bits and have 16Gb RAM.
The size of the file is about 3,92Mb.
Ok, just one question missing:

At fist I tried Luxology render. But it didn't work. My computer just couldn't handle it.
But now I'm using render mode from view (Smooth Modeling). Is this what you're asking?
Yes, thank you.
I'm curious as you said your computer couldn't handle Luxology render. Very strange as this is a powerfull render engine and you have a low file size.
Your elements are created from scratch inside Microstation or they came from other program? Are you using shared cells or normal cells?
Or other possible issue is your material definitions. Are you working with displacement maps and or fur? As this kind of definitions make your render time go very high.
Perhaps you should create a simpler file and post here in which we all can see the flickering happening. To post your DGN file here you'll have to create a ZIP file.
And you should move this post to Visualization forum.
Thank you José.
Maybe I've done something wrong with the render mode Luxology. When I tried it it took so long to start tha I thought the my computer crashed. Now, I'm trying again.
However, I attach the ZIP file so you can see it.
How do I move the post to Visualization forum?
Thank you in advance.

You should go to your original post and select More and then you should have an option Move to another location.

Thank you, this helps to try and find your issue.
I've check your sample file in SS3 and I don't see the doors and windows flickering. What I found out is that your walls are touching the glass elements. Your wall is a surface element, and you've closed your shoulder pads with another shape. When this kind of elements are align with another one - your glass, you get to see this kind of problem. Normaly the solution is create a solid for the wall and/or modify your glass to be like 2mm smaller so that it don't reach the wall, so that the two problematic elements don't touch each other.
Is this what you're talking about?

Luxology render is another issue, so you should place another forum post in Visualization regarding your render issues as per forum best practices.
Hope this helps and regards
