Hi,
I'm in the process of editing a movie clip i've created in LumenRT and I'm causing more harm to the file than good.
I'm trying to add or adjust the keyframes and the interpolation is causing havoc.
Is there any explanation anywhere of how the splines work, the camera locations and the camera orientation works?
Is there a way of zooming in to this & making this bar taller?
Smooth, weighted, smooth in...? What do all these functions do?
And Key frame values? what is tension & velocity - should i be playing around with these?
My client has asked that I pause and add some panning to some locations along the fly-through / walk-through but when I tweak the existing key frame or add in a key frame I think the beziers are doing something to the transitions but I don't know what? I've had a look online for documentation but its very basic, as are the videos on youtube.
I'd really love a demo of these tools and an explanation of how best to insert frames and transitions.
Cheers!
Nic
Hey Nic,
I'd suggest you toggle from spline mode to keyframe. You can tweak it more in spline mode if you want to dial things in more. In keyframe mode, there's a stop watch to pause. Adjust speed using interpolation time. Add a panning shot by adding another clip. Export and edit them using movie producer software.
Thanks Bob,
Appreciate the advice. Would be great if I didn't have to splice the clips together, but I'll take that on board. What software do you recommend for editing? I'll be looking it adding titles as well.
Still keen on a good break down / explanation of the various settings as mentioned above (smooth, weighted etc) but thanks for the help.
For video editing, I prefer Premiere Pro, but for free... I'd recommend Movie Maker or Camtasia. Any of these will be able to clip frames and add titles.
