At yesterdays Viz SIG I commented that interior lighting doesn't seem to work in LumenRT. Here is an example
Here is a simple Microstation model with 4 point lights. AS you can see they work in a standard Microstation view.
Here is the Microstation render window.
The lights are working.
Here is what I get in Lumen with the solar turned right down. No spot lights that I can see.
Here you can see that Lumen recognises my lights (Note I had to rename them as otherwise it only finds the first one.
An here they are as selected (but no actual lighting)
Here we are with the lighting set to full. No difference.
LumenTest.dgn
File attached. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Hi Duncan,
I opened your LumenTest.dgn in MSCE_U11 and then export it to LRT16.11.05.50, set night / midnight 12:AM and I see your lamps without any problem,
and as you see I've changed some parameters/ power color, spreed/ on one of lamp and all goes fine
I am nothing do with default settings , all lamps are switch on , try to open one lamp and try maximize parameters as you see on picture
if nothing is done , it is probably problem of LRT Designer , which a little bit the" light "version
of LRT
regards
Andrej
Thanks Andrej
This is really weird, I have literally done this a dozen times, but this time going back in to the file and it now seems to work and I can see and adjust the lights. Not sure what I've done differently that now works.
some times the best method is restart after a little walk outside:-)
have a nice day
