I am trying to show a raster image on the face of a solid when displayed in a 3D solid or illustration view. I have clipped the image to the profile of the solid face and placed it on the face. If I use the element property (in the display print tab) for the raster clip "Plane = Design" the image only partly shows and is partly hidden by the rendering of the solid. If I use "Plane = Foreground" then, the image detaches itself and is displayed in front of other distinct 3D objects i.e. it visually detaches itself and overlays other 3D objects which are physically in front of it. Is there a solution or is there a better way of applying images to 3d solids. I have a lot of these to do!
This would be best done by creating a material and attaching it to the face of the solid.
Perhaps the following would help:

Basically you would have to create a material that would use the image as a texture and attach it to the face required.
