When I export a LiveCube from LumenRT and open the executable on someone else's machine they get this error "This LiveCube uses a ScalableMesh file that cannot be found. file: terrain.3sm". You can stil open the cube, but the scalablemesh is missing. What is the fix?
Hi Caesar,
When the LiveCube is opened it will look for the .3sm in the same folder as the LiveCube, so place a copy of the .3sm file in the same folder and it should work as expected.

OK, after a long time not touching LumenRT, I have now come across this issue as well. Yes putting the .3sm file in the same directory fixes it... but doesn't that defeat the purpose of the LiveCube itself? The Wiki article below makes it clear the intent of a LiveCube is to be stand alone to enable distribution. So surely there are settings that will ensure the terrain (and clipping) is baked into the LiveCube .exe? Would be great if someone could share what they are.

Thanks in anticipation of getting an answer
Hello Grant,
If we baked the 3sm inside Live-cube, it will take lot of size and practically will be difficult to play with.
We made it separately so that it can be light weighted and smooth in nature for user.
and Ron is right the correct method is to place the 3sm and Live-cube at the same location and it will work.
Thanks.
