Hi, is there a workflow for adding world topo datasets and aerial imagery to a LumenRT scene? We are currently using LumenRT to visualise UAV photogrammetry reality models however these are generally 1-2km in length. For context it would be great to pull in a coarse topography dataset e.g. from online sources such as google earth along with a georeferenced aerial image. Is this possible?
If I understand the question correctly one could, as we do, bring in the triangulated contour map and drape the aerial image onto that mesh and export to LumenRT. there is a limit to the size of the picture you should use to drape so any UAV image is to big, try cutting it up into pieces.Alternatively using google maps one can drop a pin in google earth Pro and import it into aecosim with the image attached and export to LUmenRT
Hello Matt,
yes, Jean have provided the nice idea and explanation how you can bring the map inside LumenRT.
And also adding to your conversation, we are going to increase the area sizes work space of LumenRT to 50km in upcoming update of LumenRT.
So now user can bring more elements and big model inside LumenRT.
Thanks.
