LumenRT text layer (filter display by frame)

Hello,

I need help with controlling the text shown when producing a video in LumenRT. Issue is, text shown per frame would be different but what happens is all the text added to scene would overlap.

If I try to turnoff the layer for text, all text will be gone. Looking at the structure in LumenRT, it only recognize one layer for the element added in the scene.

I was thinking that layers can help me control the details but doesn't work. Adding a new clip would still reflect the text from the first clip as well.

Any idea or tips on how I can sort this detail I need in my video?

Thanks in advance,

Cyrel

  • Hi Cryel,

You can create new layers on the Setup>Layers tab and then you can reassign the text elements to the new layers through the Setup>Hierarchy tab. Once you reassign the text to the new layers you can control which text to display at any time with the Layers tab.

Here's a short video that demonstrates how to do it.

  • Thanks a lot Ron! That was what I was looking for. Appreciate your help. Still learning the app and lot to explore from it.

By the way another would be is it possible to turn off the shadow? Hope you can still accommodate another query.

    Again thank you! Slight smile

  • I'm glad that helped!

I don't see any shadows being cast by the text.

If you are referring to the darker background behind the text, it's appearance can be controlled with the Background Color and BG Opacity settings.

  • Apologies my question wasn't clear. It's the casting object shadows that I'm referring to or ground shadows?
