I've received files exported from Revit to DWG - to be included in a Microstation model.
They all have long lists of RevitMaterialDefinitions as shown below. As far as I can tell, they're neither attached nor assigned to any geometry in the files, so I'd like to remove them.
If I select them all and hit delete, Microstation crashes.
It takes several minutes to delete each one at a time (there are hundreds).
Does anyone know how to remove them all at once?
I've tried going back and forth between DGN and DWG, with no luck.
Thanks,
Max

Try creating external palette and material files. Loading them, and then unloading the local palette.
Michael.
Thanks Michael, this worked - although it took several minutes to process on my small test file.
It's now reduced my file size from 5Mb to 1Mb, and made it much more easy to use.
I'll use your idea on all the other files, but would really appreciate a faster and more direct method if someone from Bentley could keep looking at it.
Thanks again,

Was this ever resolved? The problem seems to persist in Update 14.
Nope, i think the best thing to do is to unload the pallet and attached your own
