First of all, many of the support files for materials from SS4 were not included in my CONNECT Edition install. I went ahead and copied them over from my SS4 Program

RE: Having issues with materials in CONNECT Edition

Hi,

Can you check your MS_PATTERN variable in Connect, it should point to the location of your images.

Also, did you choose to install the visualization content in Connect, it will go in your ProgramData\Bentley\ConnectSharedContent. That contains the textures and material palettes, (which are found using the MS_MATERIAL) configuration variable.

Regards

I was able to semi-fix this issue by reassigning the image file in the material properties. It was not looking in the correct folder. The materials now display properly when attached to an element. However, I am also referencing in a drawing that was created in SS4. The materials still do not display on the elements referenced in from the SS4 drawing. (They do display properly in the SS4 drawing when opened in SS4.) I wonder if I need to have CONNECT search for the dgnlib and other supporting files in my SS4 setup files in addition to the CONNECT setup files?
